SAN FRANCISCO, March 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Thursday, March 28th, Alex Smith, Senior Data Visualization Engineer for Zignal Labs, a leading media analytics and brand measurement technology company, will join a panel on “PR Tech: The Future of Technology in Communication” at the Kenneth Owler Smith Symposium. Hosted by the USC Annenberg’s School for Communications and Journalism, the panel will be moderated by Melissa Waggener Zorkin, CEO & President of WE Communications. Other panelists include Edith Moy, Managing Editor, Data Driven News for Bloomberg, and Gary Brotman, Head of AI Strategy for Qualcomm.
The Kenneth Owler Smith Symposium is USC Annenberg’s annual overview of the public relations industry. It has been the premiere event for public relations students and practitioners in Southern California since its inception in 1990.
In his role at Zignal Labs, Smith has led the development of stunning visualization products, including Zignal Influence Intelligence and Zignal Command Center, two product offerings that utilize big data and machine learning to help the Fortune 1000 customer-base build and protect their brands. Prior to joining Zignal Labs, Smith served as a Senior Applications Software Engineer for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
